After the Duke Nukem Forever 3D Realms got shut down, thus it closed the Duke Nukem Forever development, possible concept arts from the game got released by the 3D designers of the game development team, including 3D artist Mark Skelton, former art director Trammel Isaac, Layne Johnson, Chris Smith.

The concept arts are spread through different gaming sites like Kotaku, Game Set Watch, That Videogame Blog and Joystiq.

It is very sad to see a greatly anticipated game go like this, but that’s what happens when there is poor management and coordination from the developers side.

Let’s home that somebody will pick this game up and continue it’s development and eventually we can see the game that we waited for so long!

The wait is over... but not in the good meaning...

Publisher of the long-waited game Duke Nukem Forever has been shut down, so we can kiss the game that we waited for 12 years goodbye…

doom-4-possible-poster

ID Software is working on the new game from it’s first-person-horror-shooter series, that set the bar far above to the industry, back when the first game got out to the market (1993). The previous game – Doom 3 – was yet again another revolution for the genre, thanks to it’s realistic graphics and unique creepy atmosphere.

Now that Doom 4 is closing in, ID software keeps it’s tradition to reveal no or very little details on it’s upcoming game.

However, it has been revealed that the main story writer for Doom 4 will be the British fantasy author Graham Joyce, who is best known for his book Dreamside.

I can’t wait!

fear-2-headerMonolith has announced that the demo for the second game from the adventure-first-person-shooter series – F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin (for those of you who wonder, F.E.A.R is not a fancy and creative name that means nothing, but it is an abbreviature for First Encounter Assault Recon), is coming out in January 22.

The PS3 and Xbox360 users may download the demo from the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace, and the PC owners can download it from the official site of FEAR 2.

And here is an exciting gameplay video from the PS3 version.

witch-king-flaming-swordWe will battle one more time for the territory of Middle-Earth in the next game from the LotR series – Lord of the Rings: Conquest. Pandemic has released the PC minimum requirements to play it:

  • OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista
  • CPU: 2.4 GHz Core-Duo processor or equivalent
  • RAM: 1 GB of memory
  • Video Card: Nvidia 7200 or equivalent – 256 mb video memory and Pixel Shader 3.0 support
  • DirectX: latest version of DirectX 9.0c
  • Free Hard Drive Space: 6 GB

It’s not too heavy, considering the previous games in the series, which run quite slow even on the most powerful machines (for it’s time).

little_big_planet

“Little Big Plant” by Media Molecule has been a great hit to the gaming community this year, and has been abbreviated as “The Next Big Thing” for a reason. I guess the success of the game would be far more bigger if it wasn’t just an Play Station 3 exclusive, but in fact – the game would not be as much enjoyable as it is now, without the controller of the PS3.

Now there is a speak for a content pack coming in, which will add brand new missions and character upgrades and make the game a whole lot of fun version of the recent stealth-action-horror-third-person Metal Gear Solid 4 game (which is also an PlayStation 3 exclusive). Sackboy has been transformed into Snake and the levels are whole lot different. You c an see

a presentation video for this new content pack below.

gears-of-war-3

It was first announced that the next game from the Gears of War series won’t come out until the next-gen consoles were released, but some recent rumors say that we will see Gears of War 3 in the Christmas of 2010.

The rumors also say that the new game will have 5 player cooperative play for the single-player campaign.
